Daily Devlogs: 03/17/21


Man today was a little bit of a struggle. I didn't progress as much as I wanted but I am getting closer to figuring out how I need to fix my code's structure in order to get everything working properly. Running into minor hiccups here and there but taking my time so that I make sure it is done properly.

On another note, I think I am going to enlarge the sprites on screen so that each customer coming in to order food looks more like separate dialogue conversations with NPCS (like Fire Emblem or Harvest Moon-ish). I'll have the customers quickly slide on screen so reduce the sprite work necessary and speed up the pace. Then I will just need to focus on facial expressions for everyone. That will still be a good chunk of work but probably more in scope. Who knows, maybe I can use this to help make normal dialog conversations if that fits into everything.
